NVIDIA Brings the Ada Lovelace Architecture to the Masses With GeForce RTX 4060 Family

Unleashing the power of Ada Lovelace architecture, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX™ 4060 family promises an affordable revolution in gaming and creative performance.

In a dramatic demonstration of the power of their latest GPU technology, on Thursday (May 18, 2023), NVIDIA unveiled their GeForce RTX™ 4060 family of graphics cards, starting at an incredibly competitive price of just $299. Comprising the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060, this dynamic duo promises gamers and creators alike unprecedented performance and visual quality.

Bearing the computational prowess of the NVIDIA® Ada Lovelace architecture, these GPUs have been tuned to offer unrivaled graphics performance at a pocket-friendly price point. Embracing the DLSS 3 neural rendering and the third-generation ray-tracing technologies, the RTX 4060 family catapults 1080p gaming and AI-enhanced creativity to an entirely new level. NVIDIA’s Vice President of Global GeForce Marketing, Matt Wuebbling, proudly shared that these GPUs represent a substantial upgrade that will put Ada Lovelace and DLSS 3 within reach of millions more consumers around the globe.

Highlighting NVIDIA’s commitment to enhancing gaming experiences, the RTX 4060 family supports DLSS 3 technology across a catalog of more than 300 games and applications, including eagerly awaited titles such as The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and Diablo IV. Notably, DLSS 3 is set to debut in Unreal Engine 5, signifying the mounting significance of AI in real-time game graphics. The innovation of DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex’s responsiveness is poised to revolutionize gameplay, offering high-resolution frames from a lower-resolution input while ensuring minimal input lag.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and 4060 deliver impressive specs and performance metrics. According to NVIDIA, the RTX 4060 Ti significantly outpaces its predecessors, the RTX 2060 SUPER and RTX 3060 Ti GPUs, in terms of speed and also sports an advanced memory subsystem. Ray-tracing performance is touted to have significantly improved, promising gamers unprecedented levels of immersion and realism.

But the RTX 4060 family’s strengths aren’t solely in the realm of gaming. The NVIDIA Studio platform, coupled with the RTX 4060 family of GPUs, offers content creators a plethora of RTX acceleration and AI tools at a relatively affordable starting price. The platform supercharges over 110 creative applications, ensuring stability with NVIDIA Studio Drivers and introducing a suite of AI-driven Studio software such as NVIDIA Omniverse™, Canvas, and Broadcast.

The fourth-generation Tensor Cores provide a notable performance increase for AI tools, benefiting creators from various disciplines. 3D modelers rendering high-resolution, ray-traced scenes can expect up to 45% faster performance than with the previous-generation GeForce RTX 3060 family.

NVIDIA’s commitment to fostering a vibrant community is evident in their “Summer of RTX” event. They are set to celebrate the 4060 family’s launch with 100 streamers and give away 460 of the new cards to gaming community members.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is set to hit shelves on May 24th, priced at $399. Its 16GB sibling and the GeForce RTX 4060 will follow in July, starting at $499 and $299, respectively. Custom boards for the entire RTX 4060 family will be available from top add-in card providers, gaming system integrators, and builders globally.
